INGREDIENTI for 8 people:
-
- 2 packages of De Angelis shortcrust pastry, 280 g each.
- 4 medium-sized apples
- 100 g sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Cinnamon to taste
- 30 g butter
- Flour to taste
Remove the shortbread rolls from the refrigerator and let them rest 15 minutes before using.
Meanwhile, peel the apples, remove the core and cut them into cubes.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan, add the apples, sugar and previously squeezed lemon juice, also add a sprinkling of cinnamon for a more spicy taste.
Let the mixture cook for 10 minutes, stirring often. Lay the De Angelis shortcrust pastry, which will have rested the necessary time indicated on the package, on a round mold about 25 cm in diameter. Make the shortcrust pastry adhere to the bottom of the pan and along the edges, remembering to leave the baking paper in the package. Next prick the dough with a fork. Pour the apple mixture over the shortcrust pastry. With the second roll of shortcrust pastry and with the help of a pastry cutter wheel, create lozenges to arrange intertwined on top of the apples as a decoration. Bake in a static oven for about 30 minutes at 180 °C until the shortcrust pastry is golden brown. Let cool, dust with powdered sugar and serve. For the sweet tooth, you can accompany the tart slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Excess dough from the lozenges can be kneaded again to create tasty shortbread to go with your tea.
De Angelis Shortbread Dough Simply roll out the shortbread and use small shapes to create your cookies to bake and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown, again in a static oven at about 180°. Allow the cookies to cool and serve with a dusting of powdered sugar. Et voila! Everyone will want to taste a slice of tasty apple tart.
